Scientific Name: Eos Reticulate
The Blue-streaked Lory is a medium-sized parrot that measures about 12 inches or 31 cm in length (including the long tail) and weigh between 5.1 - 5.4 oz. (145 - 155 g).
Lorikeets will establish daily flight paths connecting their feeding sites, which tend to follow the natural contours of the landscape, such as hills, valleys, and rivers. At night, lories retreat along these paths back to their communal roosts, which can contain as many as several thousand birds.
They feed on fruit, seeds, buds, nectar, unripe grain, and pollen and they live up to 15 to 30 years in the wild, whereas, in captivity they live for about 28 to 32 years.
